Imprecation

From Tractatus

Sometimes I think of statements, which in my opinion are not for the purpose of argument, but are designed to contain a little bit of nastiness. I like the way statements like that are put together. Since they might not quite agree with my opinions, I keep them here.

Having killed so many of their wives and children, our enemies decided to take revenge. Desiring to shock us with their lawlessness, they first resorted to kidnapping. Then, discovering that we had already kidnapped many of them, and argued it was entirely legal, they decided to torture the captive. The Defense Department said that this too was legal. So, they resorted to graphically beheading the captive. To their surprise, it turns out that this too is an approved interrogation technique. Little wonder that our intelligence reports suggested that we bomb the houses of their wives and children. --Iain 12:06, 19 Jun 2004 (PDT)

By using Samaria to refer to the West Bank, and Palestine to refer to Israel, I make sure that my audience cannot pretend to be blind to the intractable nature of the problem. --Iain 12:15, 19 Jun 2004 (PDT)
