Making new pages

I have decided to allow anonymous users to create, and edit discussion pages. So, if all you want to do is comment on something you see. Please do so. From time to time I will probably purge all the discussion pages. I will delete any page or post I find offensive.
To create actual content pages, first, you need to ask me for a userid. Then log in, then just create a page. The easiest way to do that is to go to the URL http://www.tractat.us/wiki/Page_name or add a link [[Page_name]] to an existing page, and click on it.
If you want to find out tricks for making the content in the page format in a more legible way, take a look around the wiki, and see how to do it. Or, take a look at the user's guide for MediaWiki, which is the engine this site uses.
Please adhere to the following guidelines:
- The place for your comments is probably in the discussion page for a particular page, not in the content itself.
- An example of good content for the site would be some story, or comment about me. Please refrain from being too honest.
- The purpose of my site is to provide content for me, so don't put crap I am not interested in here.
- I know I make many errors, please feel free to just correct any spelling, or egregious grammatical error you see.
- Click the 'Show Preview' button, and take a look at what the page will actually look like before you save it. It is pretty easy to revert pages, but it is really annoying to click on a broken link.
Thanks! Have fun! --Iain 19:08, 30 December 2005 (EST)
