Motto
From Tractatus
I was asked recently if I had a Motto. Here is my top five:
- Qui aime juste s'attire un destin
- I never look at you but there is some new virtue born in me, some new courage
- A comma not an exclamation mark,
- Dulcius ex asperis
- Nemo me impune lacessit
One strives for things not possessed.
This seems like an excellent Salon question. I'll have to post it over there. I think that perhaps the quotation from Lamentations should take the place of Scotland's motto at number 5, but they fill the same niche, especially because of Poe's story. I'll leave it this way.
