Swing Dancing/Bring in
From Tractatus
A bring in is one of the most vital moves. Vital. What makes it vital is that is the universal correction to anything that might be going wrong.
The object of a bring in is to get to closed. You execute a bring in by leading the follower toward where she should be in closed position. Just next to your right hip. Then, turn her smoothly into closed as she gets there. Connect. Wait, then use a really strong rock step to get back in sync. Very simple!
Because the bring-in connects you very strongly, it makes it a good way to get back together. Also, there are no spins or turns to confuse the follower.

What can go wrong.
No travel
Sometimes the follower simply does not travel to you. You can fix this by stepping forward and scooping her up. However, you should make a note that this follower may need a firm lead
No turn
If the follower does not turn when you hook her in to closed, it probably means that you have either totally confused her, or she lets her frame collapse. You should make sure not to do anything which requires a strong frame until you are back in sync, and maybe not even then.
She spins
If the follower spins into closed counter-clockwise, then you did not lead a straight line, and you are dealing with someone who really wants to spin. Spend the next few moments thinking about how to give her exactly what she wants.
