Middlesex / Virgin Suicides
N asked me if the film (Virgin Suicides) was any good. Answer: Yes. It is directed by Sophia Coppola, who shares my must-see list with Neil Jordan and Lisa Cholodenko.
I have decided that if there are good books that go along with good films, then I should really read them.

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell
NYT mentioned the audio book had to make interesting allowances for footnotes. I should read the book. (Interestingly, also mentioned The curious Incident of the Dog in the Night... which would be a great audio book due to the first person perspective.)

There is no frigate like a book...
I'm resisting the temptation to hit "edit" and add 40 books to your "I should read" list. ;) I'm about 100 pages into Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, and it's big fun. Happy reading! -ES.
Don't resist. Give in to temptation. --Iain 15:53, 3 July 2006 (EDT)
